As icing on the cake, for our hard work of rehearsals and set construction and theater dedication, the last night of our shows was also our cast party. We deconstructed the set and packed away our materials from the gym so that it was clean and open for different events. Then just about 30 kids played games and watched movies all night long.... (another learning curve for the director). I certainly am appreciative of the parents who volunteered to help chaperone the night as well as donate food for the hungry cast and crew.
Now with the production safely tucked away in our memories and photo albums, we can turn our sites to new things. In the down time, we have all been taking the newfound free time to enjoy many things that were put on hold. Time with family, weekends to do fun things, and get back to normalcy.
For our group, a field trip is in the works and so are some short vaudeville styled skits for an upcoming assembly and short entertainment show.
Life has been good and we've certainly enjoyed getting established here in the community of our campus!
